Christian Education in the Bailey

I received a copy of this from a friend a while back after discussing with her our decision to homeschool the kids this coming fall. My friend is a teacher in a very small private school setting but we are in one accord with regard to the parental responsibility of a Christian education.

We (Chris & I) haven't discussed this decision with everyone in our circle, but with most. I expect there to be several posts following this one in regard to our decision, our convictions, and what I believe the bible says about our responsibility in educating our children.

Until then, read this very well-written article about training up young knights to serve the kingdom and more importantly...serve the King.

Great article! I've always answered people who think that we are teaching in a "bubble" that we are equiping them to be prepared when they leave, not just trying to protect them. I liked her analogy.

I'm looking forward to more posts on your decision to homeschool.

Homeschooling has proved ever so popular and my prayers for your guidance along the way.

Blessings to you all.

This article has really been a very articulate way to combat the "overprotective" criticism of homeschooling without offering much debate. Thank you for some much needed support.
God Bless you,
